I am a single white straight female Christian Liberal Republican who believes in gay rights and gay marriage, and that people should be allowed to do what makes them happy, as long as it is not hurting another living being emotionally or physically. A-a-AND...I VOTE. This journal is going to be only for fan-related info and responses to memes my fan friends post to their journals...and the occasional personal shit if it's bad enough, especially if it's fan related. Basically, I just try to be a good person, try to treat others as I would like to be treated, and hope to receive the same in return. Unfortunately, I have Asperger syndrome (translation: if I make a social error, please take me aside privately and inform me politely rather than humiliating me in public because I am most likely unaware I have done anything wrong) complicated by severe depression, so neither of those things happens 100% of the time. I am not only incredibly gullible and therefore easily fooled by people pretending to be my friends while manipulating me into an elaborate scheme to make an ass of me, but I am also extra sensitive and prone to misinterpret people's intentions...and because I *have* been taken advantage of so many times...I am extra paranoid...particularly after the most recent incident in February 2007. But, if you'll give me the chance and approach me gently and quietly and allow me to respond in kind, I think you will find me to be one of the most honest (sometimes awkwardly so), loyal, devoted people you could ever hope to know.... Unless you can speak of nothing else but how much you hate George W. Bush or how much you hate Christians or how it is an ungodly sin to put a dog on a chain in suburbia for him to do his business or how all hunters must die a horrible death at the hands of armed deer.... Then, we might have a problem. *deceptively sweet smile* FUR IS WARM AND MEAT IS YUMMY! *clears throat* sorry. just hadta. TWO CHOICES: The deer die a quick, humane death from the accurate shot of a hunter, OR they die a long, suffering death of starvation from overpopulation. Hmmmm. That's a toughie. Hunters are animal lovers, too. In fact, when there aren't any deer around them, they pass the time enjoying the other wildlife. Some even fall asleep because it's so peaceful and relaxing for them. PLEASE DO NOT FRIEND ME IF: 1. You are going to post about my journal posts in your journal, claiming that no one will know about whom you're talking when people are already commenting on your post that they know about whom you're talking, and start a big to-do throughout the journal community against me as a troublemaker when all I did was post in my own journal. 2. You consider depressives to be "whiners." 3. You are going to respond to a positive post in my journal with something negative. 4. You are anti-USA especially if you are anti-US Troops (and therefore aagainst my cousin and his comrades), DON'T YOU DARE FRIEND ME. (I am fine with people who are anti-war, as long as you do not put down Bush or the troops in my journal.) Thank you for respecting my wishes. The Absolute Background Textures Archive  I no longer trust LiveJournal, so I'm creating backup journals elsewhere and will most likely be keeping this one up to date with mirror posts. I have also created mirror communities for my most active LJ communities at Insane Journal, as well as the ones for my own icons and my own fics. This journal site seems to be a lot more promising than Greatest Journal, which, I have been told by one of the volunteer workers themselves, has had an absentee boss for a year, now, who is making all these changes to the GJ site without warning them and leaving them to deal with the flack from the users. And, yet, she can't understand why I'm deciding to switch to Insane Journal as my journal site of choice....(See my LJ by the same name for the entry and her comments if you don't believe me!) | |||||||||
